Jennifer Eckes | Pratfalls of Parenting Ep. 8

Jen Eckes talks about how starting dance training at age 4 gave her an advantage in getting roles in musical theater as an adult. How becoming a mother influenced her transition from often performing for free to only taking jobs that paid. Jen talks about starting her son on piano lessons at an early age so that he could learn about the payoff of hard work and to make music a skill in his life rather than a mysterious talent. And  we hear about her journey from being a dancer and actor to putting most of her energy into opera and cabaret singing. Plus, Jen shares a snippet of the algebra rap song she wrote in 8th grade!
