Article 103 Eea Agreement

The parties agreed to negotiate separate agreements on mutual recognition and protection of spirits, in light of existing bilateral agreements, before 1 July 1993. The terms of this participation are agreed between the parties and the candidate country. This agreement is submitted to all contracting parties for ratification or approval in accordance with their own procedures. Subject to the procedure under Article 9 ter, paragraph 3, of this Protocol, the time limits in paragraph 1 do not apply if international security agreements between the contracting party and third countries provide otherwise. If the necessary legislative adjustments have not been made to the satisfaction of the contracting parties on the effective date of the agreement, all the points involved may be submitted to the EEA Joint Committee. In the event of non-compliance with an agreement, the provisions of Article 114 of the agreement apply mutatis mutandis. The duly empowered officials of one of the contracting parties may, with the agreement of the other party and under the conditions set by the other party, receive information from the offices of the required authority or authority, on the violation of customs legislation which the applicant authority needs for the purposes of this protocol.
